“I admire anyone who finishes a work of art, no matter how awful it may be.” Kurt Vonnegut

I painted “Wawona Road” from leftover paint; it has been hanging on my wall for over a year. Every once in a while, ponder what I to do with it. The painting seemed content to just hang there, so I was in no hurry. Recently my son and my daughter-in-law came for a visit. When Kalii saw this painting, she loved it. She said it somehow spoke to her. Well, I just had to give it to her. She appreciated this bit of leftover paint on a canvas. How cool is that!
If I were a bit of leftover paint, I would like to be applied to a canvas and hang out on a wall. Just think of all the interesting things one could see and hear – like the proverbial fly. (Only I would not want to be a fly on a wall – you know, because of spider webs and fly swatters.) I would like to be a painting on a wall in the pub where C. S. Lewis and his friends hung out.
