I painted this for my brother as a birthday gift. Even though my nephew, Michael, is the model, it could just as well be my brother – they are so much alike in appearance and temperament. They are both avid hunters and fishermen. Both are really nice guys. Both love their dogs. Both play the guitar. Both of them care for the environment.
The only difference of note is that one is a conservative Republican and the other is a liberal Democrat. They get along just fine, which is another thing they have in common.
Note to self: Are all hunters avid? I think this might be a question that I could get to know and love.
