November 2022

My friends and I were driving from Silverton to Durango. It was dark, and it was snowing.
There was a full moon, so naturally we howled. (Actually, we were singing, but who could tell the difference?)
The moonlight illuminated the falling snow. We decided it would be cool if we drove through the snow without headlights. Doug, the driver, was agreeable, so that’s what we did. We drove over Red Mountain Pass at night by the light of the moon in the snow. Then Doug got nervous and switched the lights back on. That was cool, too. I mean, at least we got to see Red Mountain in the moonlight.
Note to self: Can you believe we did that? What were we thinking? Teenagers!
