This is the state capitol building in Salt Lake City, Utah. It is similar in appearance to other state capitols – even the national capitol building in Washington, D. C.
I think capitol buildings are also similar in content, by what goes on inside. When I look at a building like this, I picture subtle intrigues, secret meetings, and cunning manipulations among its inhabitants.
The thing is when the people inside devote their time and energy to political games and political theater, the people outside eventually get the message. Then the games they play are no longer secret, subtle, and cunning. They become chaos, rioting, and bloodshed.
The seat of government really shouldn’t play games. Just sayin’…
(Note to self: Don’t play anyone’s game even if you think you’ll win – you won’t.)
